While watching Sesame Street vids on Youtube with the kids the other morning, I realized something: even though I can remember the People in Your Neighbourhood skit from the time when I was a little kid watching Sesame Street on an 11" black-and-white TV, I've never seen any kind of computer-related job on it. I got to thinking how it'd play out if it included some of the folks in my virtual neighbourhood.

The Coder makes the programs you use
To send email or read the news
If you can surf or flame some jerk
You should thank the Coder for their work.

Oh, the Tester looks through code for fail
She tries to think through every detail
If it's broken or the UI's poor
That code won't make it out the door.

The Cracker codes and codes and codes
She PUSHes, POPs, SHIFTs, and LOADs
It's her fault if your computer's stoned
Or if it says that you've been owned.
