PSA: Algoma Conservatory of Music Concert Series

If you're local to the Sault, I really think you should subscribe to the concert series that the Algoma Conservatory puts on.

The Conservatory consistently manages to bring outstanding talent to the Sault; acts that a community of our size should probably have no business attracting. The full ride is $150, and gets you seven shows by musicians of national and international prominence -- like the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, or the Tallis Scholars from the UK. We subscribed for this past year and weren't disappointed with any show, to say the least. Many of these virtuosos are happy to teach local music students while they're here -- a huge benefit for the talented young musicians of the Sault.

When booking acts like these, it's best to go looking with cash in hand, so a subscription helps make sure the Conservatory can bring the best talent possible to perform for you. Give it some thought: a modest amount of cash not only gets you some stupendous performances, but helps support the arts scene here in the Sault.
